So you need proof of global warming, right?

Global warming is the observed increase in the average temperature of the Earth’s atmosphere and oceans. It’s been in the news quite a bit and remains a concern because of the projected continuation of rising temperatures. Many believe. Many don’t. Yet another issue causing polarity (like we need another).

Well, where’s the proof of global warming?

Let’s think about it in a totally different way. Instead of the environmental impact of global warming, pause a moment.

What if we take that same label but… use it to describe a trend towards worldwide unity among people? In that context, “global warming” is occurring right here on this site. Look at our visitors.

Here’s the proof:

I thank you for coming together, communicating with each other, and making the world a warmer place.

In case you have any visitors who are unbelievers in global warming, they should be aware that the world’s scientific community state that there is no doubt that global warming is happening, and the world’s governments have agreed the precise wording in a recent report.

After an extensive and thorough analysis of climate change research over the past six year, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) stated this on Friday, February 2, 2007 in Paris:

Warming of the climate system is unequivocal, as is now evident from observations of increases in global average air and ocean temperatures, widespread melting of snow and ice, and rising global mean sea level.

The scientists also stated the cause of global warming:

Most of the observed increase in globally averaged temperatures since the mid-20th century is very likely due to the observed increase in anthropogenic greenhouse gas concentrations.

That means human activities are very likely the cause of most of the warming that is observed.

If any of your many visitors is looking for more information on climate change aka global warming, and wants to know what they can do to help slow down the warming of our planet, let me know 🙂

EG, not only is this website proof of global warming, it is also responsible for global shrinkage! The UK never felt so close to the US before – Australia never felt so close to S. Africa. You’ve managed to narrow the distance between cities, countries, continents and unite us so that we can learn, share, grow. Kudos to you. Well done!
