If you build it, they will come.

This is the post I’ll use to mention the 9-month anniversary of this blog. I planned on writing some clever “delivering this baby” post but… Nah.

When I searched for a helpful resource a year ago to help me along my fibroid journey, I could not find what I wanted. I longed for something scientific written by an odd geek with a positive outlook as she traveled down this road of symptoms, treatments, and recoveries. There was just so much misinformation and negative energy out there in cyberspace that I stopped that quest. I focused on strictly science-based sites and (fortunately) received support from those around me off-line.

Once I started to feel better, I decided to create the type of site I couldn’t find. Figured that I could not possibly be the ONLY geek in the world with fibroids, right? Well, my fellow geek(ette)s, I am happy to report that we are not alone.

Thank you for your continued visits and comments. I’ll admit it is overwhelming at times. Experiencing some difficulty keeping up with comments but please know that I think of you and pray for you and do what I can to move us all forward. You are helping me to create a resource of science-based information but also provide a nonjudgemental, positive support community for ALL women dealing with fibroids.

A toast to the next 9 months.

    Thanks fibroid free!

I’m hoping by the 1-year anniversary to FINALLY be caught up with responding to comments. 😉

It’s not quite that bad but the site is constantly growing. I’m really excited that women are coming here to visit and talk.

Thanks again for your continued support and visits and comments and… everything!
